This blog entry is quite difficult to do, because we couldn't tell you which are really the most beautiful villages in Cabo de Gata, even so, these are some of the ones that visitors to the Cabo de Gata have been most interested in. Cabo de Gata Natural Park think they are the most beautiful. It is true that this opinion is very subjective, as everyone can have their own favourite spot in the Cape.
For some reason many visitors and tourists to the area end up coming back, we don't know if it's because of its landscapes, its nature, its gastronomy, its beaches and coves or its people... but we bet it's all of them together.
La Isleta del Moro of the most beautiful villages of Cabo de Gata
Like one of the most beautiful villages of Cabo de Gata we have the Isleta del Moro. This small village still has the atmosphere of a typical old fishing village. On the beach you can see the boats standing on the beach creating a very picturesque and original image. Its houses, which are right in front of the sea, are all painted in the same white colour, all of them are a very modest shape.
If you visit this small village during the months outside the high season, you will experience the peace and tranquillity that surrounds the area.
The best photo of the locality is from the road, before going down, as from here there is a picture postcard perspective, seeing the first palm trees of the Isleta del Moro, followed by its picturesque fishing houses and then the two rocky outcrops/islets. The Islet that is further apart is the one that gives its name to the locality. But here is more information about La Isleta del Moro.

Among the most beautiful villages of Cabo de Gata is San José.
As we have said, choosing the three best villages in Cabo de Gata is very complicated, but as it is considered the capital of the Natural Park, we have to put San José on the list.
This is the largest town and has all the necessary services to spend a few days enjoying the rest of the Nature Park. From here you can access many activities, especially maritime, so you can discover each of the coves and beaches hidden in the Natural Park of Cabo de Gata.
Even though it is the capital, it still has the aesthetic harmony of the area, with low, white houses, which make the landscape that surrounds it stand out even more.
In its square you will find a lot of life, and above all you will be able to enjoy the terraces of its restaurants and bars to get to know the gastronomy of the area.

Agua Amarga, another beautiful fishing village
Of course we can't leave Agua Amarga out of the list of the most beautiful villages of Cabo de Gata, impossible! This is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and welcoming villages in the Natural Park.
The village itself is very small, but the surrounding hills have little white houses with the same modest coastal feel as the rest of the villages.
Apart from the beach (which we definitely recommend you to visit), we also invite you to stroll through its streets to get to know its atmosphere better. Surrounding the square you will find beautiful shops and businesses, as well as bars where you can spend a great evening.
Some say that it is in Agua Amarga where the best coves of Cabo de Gata are to be found such as Enmedio Cove y El Plomo Cove. This is another list that would be difficult to write because we would not know how to decide which coves are the best in the Cape. But it is undoubtedly true that in Agua Amarga there are some beautiful coves.

Other villages not to be missed in Cabo de Gata
We have named 3 of its best villages, but we can't just leave it at that. We want you to put on your list more essential villages to visit, such as Las Negras, Rodalquilar, Carboneras (oooh mama, how they eat here), etc...
Without a doubt we believe that Cabo de Gata is a destination that everyone should have on their list, and to enjoy both its towns and its beaches, we have plenty of activities for you to discover its funniest side.
