Where did Cala Paradís come from?
Cala Paradís is probably the most unknown cove in Jávea/Xàbia, and this is normal, as it is relatively new. And like the rest of the coves in the town, it has a paradisiacal aspect that you cannot miss. However, it is secret, beautiful and considered a treasure because of its difficult access, as it can only be reached by the sea. So, we've got rid of a lot of people who won't be visiting it and crowding it. La Cala Paradís, created by a squall
That's right, Cala Paradís was formed thanks to Borrasca Gloria, do you remember it? This big squall caused a lot of damage along the coast of Alicante. In Jávea, in fact, it engulfed the promenade and flooded many restaurants along the coast. The squall brought a strong storm in January 2020, and left a lot of damage all over the peninsula. Now that the disaster has passed and everything has been sorted out, we can say that thanks to Gloria we have this little paradise.
We can say that Jávea's Cala Paradís was created accidentally by natural causes (well, Mother Nature wanted it that way, and no one is in charge of her).
