The Sardinera Cove

Cala Sardinera is considered the virgin cove of Jávea. This is a small, wild cove located between the White Cove or the Portitxol Cove or Barraca. It is a cove of gravel and pebbles and is one of the most hidden coves in the Alicante town of Jávea.

If you like snorkelling or discovering paradisiacal corners, Cala Sardinera is undoubtedly one of the coves you should visit. However, you should know that it is not easy to get to. You will have to leave your car at the Creu del Portitxol viewpoint and walk for about 15 minutes along a path to reach this cove.

Therefore, if you come to visit this cove, I recommend that you bring not only snorkelling goggles and snorkel, but also suitable footwear to be able to make the journey from the car to the cove.

As access to Cala Sardinera is somewhat more difficult, most visitors to the cove come by sea, so when you arrive at the cove you will see a multitude of boats moored there where you can enjoy the crystal clear waters of Cala Sardinera.
