What to do in Maro

One would almost have to apologise for writing about any of the magical corners of Maro in order not to break the charm.

For those of you who are not familiar with the name, Maro is a district of the famous Nerja, the star tourist resort of Malaga. A little research on the internet will bring up the wild image of a waterfall on the beach on a cliff washed by the sea, a spot that, if well framed, is more reminiscent of an exotic Thai setting than the idea of beaches on the coast of Malaga.

The cliffs of Maro-Cerro Gordo are a natural site and a specially protected area, so you have to plan your visit, especially if you want to visit in high season, and it is undoubtedly one of the essential plans in this town.
