1. Portixol Cove or Barraca Cove
Portixol Cove in Javea is located between Cap Prim and Cap de la Nao, two spectacular natural viewpoints in the municipality of Javea to contemplate the Mediterranean Sea in its purest state.
The cove is of coarse sand and pebbles, is a small beach with an undisputed beauty spotThis cove is still lined with fishermen's cottages, where they spend their holidays during the summer.
It is a cove with a special charm, as it is only 100 metres away from the Portitxol IslandA small islet that you can visit by swimming or renting a kayak there. It is one of the favourite coves for canoeists and lovers of scuba diving and snorkelling, as the Portitxol cove has an admirable seabed. So don't forget to take your diving goggles so as not to miss this marine spot.
In the summer months, it is advisable to go first thing in the morning as it has a small car park that fills up quickly and it is one of the busiest coves in Jávea.
You also have at your disposal Kayak and Paddle surf rental in the same Portixol Cove. If you want to rent one, you should make sure you have a place before you go and book in advance.
