The white cove, the caleta or les caletes (also known by the people of Jávea and the surrounding area), is one of the most attractive coves for visitors to the Alicante coastal town of Jávea. You may wonder why, but as soon as you arrive at the white cove and discover its crystalline waters, you will understand why.
Something you should know is that Cala Blanca is not just a cove, it is a small group of two adjoining coves connected by the stone coastline, coves that are called Caleta I and Caleta II.
Also known as La Caleta de Jávea
La Caleta I is a rustic cove of gravel and rock with a small access ramp on the left, with wooden handrails, which leads down to the sea itself, making it easier for bathers to enter the water.
From here you can take the stairs to the Mirador de Cala Blanca or you can continue on foot, through some holes in the rock, to the next cove, Caleta II.
Is the Cala Blanca cove in Jávea easily accessible?
Yes, it is one of the coves in Jávea where access is very easy. In fact, it is a tarmac area and you can drive just a few metres from the cove. It is very close to Arenal Beach, so much so that if you are in that area, you can even walk to Cala Blanca.
Why is this cove known as the White Cove of Jávea?
Its name is due to the colour of the stone of its cliff area, as one of the characteristics of this cove in Jávea is that its stones are whitish, which is why it is known as the Cala Blanca de Jávea (White Cove of Jávea).
