The Cala del Aceite located in Conil de la frontera is a very popular destination in the summer months, and no wonder. This cove is one of the largest you will find in Conil, which is why it receives so many visitors in the high season months.

To put it in context, the Cala del Aceite is located right next to the lighthouse and the fishing port of the town. There are approximately 450 metres of sand, and the best thing about it is that all these metres are surrounded by unspoilt cliffs that protect from the coastal winds. Cadiz is known for its coastal winds, that's why it is a place where many water activities are carried out, but it is possible that this wind to enjoy a swim and a towel on the sand, bother a little. But this will not happen in Cala del Aceite, here you will be protected and well conditioned to enjoy the summer in Cadiz.

What is so special about the Cala del Aceite?

If you are planning to visit Cala del Aceite, we will let you know everything you are going to discover. For bathers this is a very comfortable and accessible place as the cove is fine sand and its seashore is also fine sand. Once you are in the water, you will be amazed by what you can see. clean and crystalline And if you turn and look at the sandy part, you will see that you are surrounded by virgin and natural cliffs, with pine trees, bushes and plants... You will notice that you are in a natural area, far away from the crowds and constructions. A real luxury compared to other Spanish coasts.

From the cliffs of Cala del Aceite you can enjoy some very cool views of the villages of El Palmar and Los Caños de Meca. They say that sometimes you can see Morocco, depending on the weather, the haze and the conditions. If all these stars come together and you have good eyesight, you will be one of the lucky ones to see it.

In Cala del Aceite you will find moderate waves thanks to the semicircular shape of the beach and the fact that it is located to the southwest. This is ideal for wind and sea sports such as surfing, but it is the PERFECT beach for diving enthusiasts. The currents are not strong, so it is perfect for snorkelling, both for scuba diving and for those who are brave enough to go free diving. And this is a plan that we recommend you do, because around the beach you will find flora and fauna that you should not miss.

You might think that such a special beach doesn't have to have good access, but not at all, quite the contrary. It also has a car park for visitors to the cove, and from here there are several accesses to the Cala del Aceite.

Despite being a cove far from the town of Conil, the beach has a beach bar, so don't worry, you'll be able to buy drinks and food. And if you want to go for a walk, although they are difficult to access, you can visit the coves of Sudario, Pintones, Melchor... these are coves that are difficult to access and where nudism is practised.
