Los Escullos Beach

This is one of the wild jewels of Cabo de Gata, as Playa de los Escullos belongs to the Cabo de Gata Natural Park, specifically in Níjar. But if we go into more detail, it is located in a hamlet that belongs to Níjar, called Los Escullos. It is one of the most recommended beaches to visit in this area and today we want to give you the reasons why you should visit it.

Also known as Playa del Arco

The beach of Los Escullos is also known to many as the Playa del Arco Beach. It is a very attractive beach for scuba diving enthusiasts and this is due to its seabed. It is a rocky seabed, but with large meadows of posidonia. The result is a variety of fish and plants that will amaze you.

This is one of the most perfect beaches to enjoy the sea doing exercise and kayaking, snorkelling... The coast of Almeria is a perfect place to do these activities. It is also one of the treasures of the Spanish coast that is still unspoilt and little exploited, and this is always synonymous with quality.

The reason for this name can be seen at first glance when you arrive, and the main attraction is its geology. Here you can find fossilised dunes on the right-hand side of the beach. How to get to Playa de los Escullos?

It is located among the villages of the Isleta del Moro and San José. Its access is very easy, it is practically at the foot of the road. One of its main attractions is that it is not crowded, it is a quiet beach, perfect to escape from the crowds that lately there are on the coasts.
Another point in favour of Playa de los Escullos is that there is plenty of parking space close to the beach, so you won't have to walk to get there. So if we add that it is a quiet place, easily accessible, unspoilt, with a seabed worth watching, we can say that it is a highly recommended beach.
