Moraira and its surroundings

If you are looking for information about Moraira and the surrounding area, today we would like to show you places you should not miss in the area around Teulada-Moraira to get to know this part of the Costa Blanca.

Moraira is an enclave located in the coastal area of Alicante, on the Costa Blanca, bordering the municipalities of Calp, Benissa, Benitatxell, and of course, Teulada. It is also very close to well-known and highly recommended towns such as Altea (to the south) and Jávea and Denia (to the north). So if you are staying in Moraira or you are going to spend the day in Moraira, we are going to give you some ideas of things to do in Moraira and its surroundings and to visit the best in the little time you have.

What to see and do in Moraira

Before you start to see the surroundings of Moraira, we recommend that you get to know every corner of the town and make the most of it. Here we leave you a few entries about, what to do in Moraira, Moraira and its covesthe OLD TOWN y a route around Moraira. And as we are lovers of water activities, we leave you here some of the activities that we recommend you to practice here, such as kayak excursion in Moraira

We definitely recommend you to visit the coast of Benissa, here you will find some of the most beautiful coves in the area. The municipality of Benissa (what is the town centre) is 14km from the beach, but all these coves that you will find along the coast of Moraira are also part of the municipality of Benissa, so you will have to mark it in the GPS. It is possible that the name of the town as such does not ring a bell because it often goes unnoticed, but the name of its beaches will probably ring a bell, either through social networks or through friends and acquaintances. Are you familiar with the names of Cala la Fustera, Cala Baladrar, Cala Els Pinets? These coves are located between Moraira and Calpe, but as we have said, they belong to Benissa.

We recommend that you visit all these and more coves in this area, as they are small, scenic gems visited by thousands of people every summer.

Benitachell, a must for Moraira and the surrounding area

Benitachell is located close to Moraira, about 11 minutes by car. But what we recommend you to do in this place is to visit the Moraig Coveone of the treasures of the Costa Blanca. A paradisiacal beach surrounded by cliffs with amazing views. Here you will find an impressive aquatic cave that we are sure you will love. And here are two activities you can do to enjoy the Benitachell cove, one is a kayak route from Moraira to Cala del Moraig, where you will enjoy a very cool maritime route, and the other is a snorkelling excursion around the same cove. 100% recommended.

Do you want to know what activities you can do in this area?

Pay a visit to Calp/Calpe

If you follow the road from Moraira southwards, along the sea (passing the beaches of Benissa) you will come to Calpe, a small town full of entertainment and atmosphere during the summer months, and full of tranquillity for its beaches in the winter months. Here we have an entry talking exclusively about things to do in Calpe. What we recommend is that you take a route to the Peñon de Ifach and you get to the top, here you will be able to enjoy some AMAZING views. From Calpe you can also make a kayak excursion to Morro de Toix whose route along the sea you will love.

As you are looking for Moraira and surroundings, as we mentioned above, you can also move a little further and go to Altea or Jávea. In Jávea you will be able to discover some paradisiacal coves that are becoming more and more famous, but there are still some secret corners to be explored, so don't miss them. And in Altea, of course, apart from its beaches, we recommend that you spend an evening in the old town and book a restaurant in the area to enjoy the atmosphere that the old town of Altea has every summer night. It really is a great plan!
