Sancti Petri Beach

The Sancti Petri Beach is located in the Natural Park of the Bay of Cadiz and is well known for its natural environment. Already on the way to the beach you can enjoy the beautiful natural scenery, starting with a path full of pine trees and then following the sandy path that is right next to the cliff that separates the Sancti Petri beach from the Barrosa beach.

Following the sandy path you will see some very nice viewpoints where we recommend you stop and look at the views, they are beautiful! We're sure you'll be able to take some great photos during the stops you'll want to make along the way to the beach.

If you look closely, you will be able to see the Sancti Petri Castle in the sea, where we recommend you to go on one of the scheduled excursions that leave from the port of Sancti Petri.

Sancti Petri Beach and La Barrosa Beach

The beach of Sancti Petri is shielded by dunes that make it a perfect place for swimming. There is also an area of reddish slopes that extends all the way to the beach of La Barrosa. This is perfect, as in its surroundings you have access to beach bars and fishermen's huts that will give you the opportunity to enjoy the gastronomy. But this is more towards the Barrosa area (but it is still the part of Playa Sancti Petri). If instead you are in the area of the cliffs of the Sancti Petri Beach There won't be any beach bars available nearby, so we recommend that you take a bottle of fresh water and a snack with you just in case. If you want to take a long walk, about 2km (the length of the beach) you can get to the beach bars.

At low tide you can walk from Sancti Petri beach to Barrosa beach.

What we like most about this beach is its natural scenery, which is also very photogenic. Lying on the sand sunbathing and having the reddish sand cliffs behind you gives you the feeling of being in the middle of nature.

Sancti Petri Beach

The beach of Sancti Petri, apart from having a very comfortable entrance to the water that makes swimming easy even for children, is also the perfect place for all those who want to do water activities such as sailing, windsurfing, canoeing and of course, scuba diving.

From the marina, classes are given in all of these areas. WATER SPORTS and private boats can also be rented for a trip on the open sea. As always, we recommend you to rent a kayak in Sancti Petri and discover the surrounding coastline on your own. Remember to rent your kayak in advance, as in high season we all know that the Bay of Cadiz is a very busy place.
