The province of Alicante wins the award for being the Spanish province with the highest number of blue flags.
The Costa Blanca has more than 240km of beaches with turquoise waters and hidden coves that attract every year a multitude of tourists, sun and beach lovers, as well as surfers, divers and celebrities who are captivated by this land.
Below, we show you which are the five best beaches on the Costa Blanca (Alicante):
1. Granadella beach, Jávea
Granadella beach is one of the natural wonders created by the Mediterranean Sea and the mountains of the Marina Alta region. A small and beautiful cove in Jávea. Thanks to the beauty of its seabed, its crystal clear water and its routes, Granadella has become a temple for lovers of scuba diving and snorkelling.

La Granadella is a 200-metre long cove of rocks and gravel surrounded by marvellous pine trees that make it unique.
Here you can see some activities to do in the Granadella Cove:
2. El portet, Teulada-Moraira
Only 350 metres long, the Portet beach becomes the pearl of the Costa Blanca for its crystal clear and calm waters. It is true that it is not the only beach on the Costa Blanca with crystal clear waters, but it is the only one that is sandy.

Surrounded by the Cap D'Or mountain, with little depth and hardly any waves, El Portet is considered by many to be the Caribbean of the Marina Alta. Due to its small size and being surrounded by mountains, its water is cooler than the rest of the beaches of Moraira and it is a very safe place to go with the family.
3. El Moraig cove in Poble nou de Benitatxell
Between cliffs and impressive geological formations, lies this remote cove of gravel and transparent waters known as the Moraig Cove. The colour of its waters creates a paradisiacal landscape that makes it one of the most spectacular coves along the Mediterranean coast.

Its transparent waters hold stories of smugglers, pirates and humble fishermen who found in the sea the complement that the land denied them.
4. El Racó de l'Albir beach in Alfaz del Pi
if you go to the beach to relax and spend some time as peacefully as possible and avoid the summer crowds, the Racó de l'Albir is the best option, as well as being a comfortable, beautiful and clean beach with a length of 550 metres.

Located between Altea and Benidorm, this is a small pebble beach, so it is advisable to use sandals or booties to move along the beach. With crystal clear waters and a very suitable climate for water sports.
5. Punta del Raset beach in Denia
also known as Cagarritar, is one of the closest beaches to the town centre and is 600 metres long, very wide for children and the elderly.
