Things to do in Jávea - Discover the coves and beaches of Jávea
It could be said that Javea has the best coves in Spain. Here we tell you about some of the best coves in Javea.
Portixol Cove o Barraca CoveA gravel cove located between Cap Prim and Cap Negre, and very close to Cala Granadella. It can be reached on foot from the Mirador de la Cruz del Portixol, or by car by following the road to Cabo la Nao and going down a housing estate until you reach the cove. In the summer months (July and August) it is quite difficult to park nearby, but it is well worth a visit.

The Barraca Cove is ideal for scuba diving or snorkelling, and there is also a kayak excursion departing from the Barraca Cove with a duration of 2h 30min where you can visit the cave of Cabo la Nao and snorkel. A spectacular excursion to discover the coves and caves of Javea from the sea.
Ambolo CoveOne of the best coves in Javea, a rocky cove with very difficult access and incredible views. In the summer months it is impossible to go down by car, as the effort of the town hall to try to maintain the natural area means that access to the cove is cut off and therefore you have to walk down and up (about 20-25 minutes), but in the hot months we recommend taking plenty of water and food to go down to the cove as there is no bar or beach bar there and I assure you that the walk up is very difficult in the heat.

Not recommended to go with children or elderly people because of its complicated access, and the beginning of the cove is a bit dangerous when passing all the rocks.
Cala Granadella, the turquoise water cove in Javea, a paradise for divers and lovers of water activities. It is easily accessible by car, you can park just 3 minutes walk away and perfect for a day out with family or friends. There are restaurants at the foot of the cove. You can see more information about what to do in the Granadella Cove here.
