The Ambolo Cove in Javea is a beautiful and paradisiacal cove on the Mediterranean coast. Due to its geographical location, Cala Ambolo is one of the most beautiful spots on the Costa Blanca in Alicante.
The natural enclave in which Cala Ambolo is hidden gives this tiny beach crystal clear waters and a fairly quiet beach in summer. And if you want a cove where there are no crowds and peace and quiet, Cala Ambolo is the place for you. Javea is your corner.
It is true that, despite this, even in July and August the beach is not deserted, but it is an area where you can find a space for your umbrella without any problem.
The Ambolo Cove of Javea is a 300-metre long beach of stone and gravel. Surrounded by large rock walls that make this cove even more attractive.

How to get to Ambolo Cove
To access Cala Ambolo, there are some streets near the beach access area where you can park, however, we recommend that, if it is the summer season, you go with the idea of parking in a quiet place and go with just enough to access the beach.
After parking the car, due to the natural enclave in which Cala Ambolo is located, You must go down some rock stairs (fitted with a handrail and various safety measures) until you reach the entrance to the cove. At the entrance you will see that Cala Ambolo is actually marked as a nudist beach, but the vast majority of bathers who go there are not.

Therefore, if you are looking for a nudist beach, this is not the best one, as you will be surrounded by people in their swimming costumes and bikinis. The attraction of this cove is so great that it is a very popular area for couples and groups of friends.
After arriving at Cala Ambolo (we recommend that you wear sandals, booties or flip-flops attached to your feet), you will discover the beauty of this cove. It is 300 metres of coastline, just a few metres away from the lighthouse of the Cape la Nao and the Island of Discovery, which you can discover through a guided kayak excursion, and with crystal clear waters. We also recommend another of the coolest, most comfortable and summery activities here, and that is a boat trip along the Ambolo Cove.
What will you find in Ambolo Cove?
It is such a quiet area and location away from civilisation, that in the cove itself you will have no reception, no wifi, no data... there is not even a beach bar, a setting that makes Cala Ambolo even more special and beautiful.
This cove is to the north of the Cala de la Granadella and to the south of the Cala de Portitxol in Jávea, these two together with the Cala Ambolo, the 3 most beautiful coves in Javea.
