Possibly the best known beach on the coast of Almería, this is Playa de Mónsul, located in Cabo de Gata, specifically in the municipality of Níjar. This beach, some 400m long and 45m wide, is undoubtedly the beach that best represents the volcanic origin of the Cabo de Gata Natural Park.
Mónsul is a wild beach, therefore it has no services, it is an unspoilt beach. The beach is characterised by its dune and the peineta (rocky cliff in the shape of a crest). In addition, this beach has been featured in many films, advertisements, etc. But the best thing is its transparent waters, perfect for snorkelling and discovering the fish under the water, or for a stroll along its fine golden sand.
