Granadella Cove capacity

We are located on the Costa Blanca, specifically in Jávea. Cala Granadella, about 160 m long, is one of the most beautiful beaches in Alicante. It is a small piece of coastline with crystal clear turquoise blue waters and instead of sand we find pebbles.

This piece of Jávea with its turquoise or emerald tones is the perfect place to enjoy a swim, relax, read a book in the sun or simply lie on a towel while you soak up the Costa Blanca sun. Although it is also an ideal beach for water sports, for example a guided paddle surfing excursion in Cala Granadella Jávea with snorkelling or if you prefer, you can also take the Kayak Excursion Granadella Cove and Snorkelling to the Jávea Sea Caves.

Capacity in Granadella Cove in high season

This beach is well known for its great natural beauty and for offering some services such as lifeguards, sun lounger/parasol rental, water activities and bars; but due to this and other causes, the beach is not very well known. Cala Granadella has a maximum capacity.

In high season they close the accesses with barriers due to the higher number of people and parked vehicles allowed. This is why they resort to setting a daily maximum capacity, in order to prohibit the passage of more individuals who also come to visit the cove and enjoy the views. Besides, this cove is extremely well known, so they have a strict regulation of the capacity.

Therefore, our advice is to visit this beautiful cove in the off-peak months, if you can afford it. The best time to visit is at the end of September and during the week, so that you can enjoy the secrets hidden in this striking cove at your leisure.

Do you want to know what activities you can do in this area?

It may not seem like it, but this is another option that many people use to get a spot on the sand. It is easier to do it this way if you have a van, caravan, tent or sleeping car; so you can leave your car parked in the nearest car park and the next morning (early) watch the sunrise at Cala Granadella.

In case you decide to spend the night there you should not relax, at 7 am there is already a queue to go to this beach. So once you are awake and you have yawned a thousand times, you can head towards the cove and prepare your area to spend the day on this beautiful beach on the Costa Blanca in Alicante. And with this we give you another piece of advice, you must be patient because if you have not had good luck you may run out of space to enjoy the waters of this cove.

How can I get to Cala Granadella?

The beach is located to the south of Jávea, approximately 10 km away. It is very easy to get there, as the journey is made from a road (the Granadella road) that takes you to your destination and which is also very well signposted from the town of Jávea.
