Although Cabo de Gata has charm beyond the coastline, with its landscape of desert mountains and small charming villages, let's say that its great attraction is undoubtedly its coast. In any of the villages we visit we will find a wide range of places to eat and spend the night, and an inexhaustible list of aquatic activities that will make us enjoy every village we visit.
Jet ski excursion: adrenaline and speed
With the jet ski tour that we propose, you probably won't stop to enjoy the wonderful scenery offered by the beach and coastline of Carboneras. But you will certainly have time for that, before or after this ride. Imagine going at full speed and testing your driving skills by bouncing through the waves. If you don't have much experience and it's the first time you try this activity, don't worry because it's a guided excursion with a qualified instructor.
The excursion and the swim will surely whet your appetite and you will be able to enjoy the wonderful fish at a great price in the area. Before leaving Carboneras, and even if you have sped past on board the jet ski, we recommend a visit to the beach of the dead. The bathing and the view are well worth it.
Diving baptism in Las Negras
Another experience you will probably remember for the rest of your lives. Diving baptismis a special moment when you can enjoy, for the first time, the magic of the underwater world. It is the indispensable leap for all snorkelers to the next level of enjoyment.
You have to try it, and what better place than the rich seabed of Cabo de Gata. In addition, this activity is complemented with a photographic report that will surely make all your friends' teeth long. You will be able to dive up to 6 metres in the marvellous surroundings of Las Negras beach. There, the instructors will explain how the equipment works and before you dive you will do some practical exercises on the surface. You should know that the beach of Las Negras is located next to the village of the same name, it is a perfect place for diving as the sea is crystal clear and full of fish.
Route of the pirates and Kayak in the Natural Park of Cabo de Gata
You won't be on board a brigantine sailing ship, nor will they put a parrot on your shoulder, the patch is optional... What you will surely do, will be to enjoy like sea lions as you glide smoothly through the sea while you do this beautiful pirates' route kayaking.
This area of the coast is so called because it was the place where, centuries ago, sailors would dock their ships or sailing vessels for a while to stock up on provisions and, we imagine, if the legend does not deceive us, many barrels of rum. Then they would return to work, their holds full, in search of a galleon, probably Spanish, to board and steal the merchandise they were bringing from the New World.
On the kayak route, you will have the chance to stop in front of unspoilt coves to swim, and enjoy those restricted access places that only the lucky ones with a boat can reach.
Choose the means of transport and the level of adrenaline, but we assure you that the best way to enjoy this little piece of park is to see it from the sea.
